Yuan Peng, born and raised in China, has been deeply immersed in music from a young age. She received her bachelor’s degree in piano performance at Longy School of Music of Bard College and Emerson College and received her Master of Music in

Music Education from Boston University. Ms. Peng is Steinway education partner and MTNA teacher. Ms. Peng has extensive teaching experience. She previously taught at Guangzhou Pearl River Piano Group Company Limited, where her students

not only won numerous piano competitions but also passed the ABRSM piano examinations with distinction results. Since 2014, Ms. Peng has been teaching students aged 4 to 16 as well as adult learners, guiding them through competitions, examinations, and community charity performances. Known for her patience and understanding, she works closely with each student to overcome challenges and build confidence. “Seeing my students grow and express themselves through music is my greatest motivation,” she says. In Ms’ Peng’s teaching, she emphasizes both technical skills and emotional connection to music. She encourages students to listen attentively and explore ways to produce beautiful sound, fostering a lifelong appreciation and love of music.
