M.M., Pusan National University
Post-graduate study, University of Southern California Thornton School of Music

Born and raised in South Korea, Ms. Jung has been teaching piano professionally in both South Korea and the United States.  During her lessons, she finds the hidden musical potentials of students and challenges them to reach their best abilities on piano by encouraging them to appreciate all aspects of music.  She believes that a healthy music education not only enriches the inner world of students, but also helps them succeed in other academic fields in the future by enhancing their brain network.  As students possess different learning styles, she always strives to optimize her teaching method for each individual student.

Ms. Jung is a member of the Music Teachers’ Association of California.  Her students have participated in the annual Certificate of Merit program and received prizes in SYMF, MTAC festivals, and other competitions.  Since earning her bachelor’s and master’s degree at Pusan National University in South Korea, she has been active in solo, ensemble, and collaborative recitals. She relocated to sunny California to pursue further graduate study at the USC Thornton School of Music.
